Welcome to Heritage
We are committed to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine for every animal in your care — from the dog on the couch to the herd in the back pasture.
Heritage was founded on a simple idea: the best medicine happens when a veterinarian knows your animals and has the time to explain what's going on. Our appointments are built to be longer, our recommendations are always explained in plain language, and you'll never feel rushed.
Being a true mixed-animal practice means Northwest Arkansas families don't need two veterinarians. The same team that vaccinates your cat can work up a lameness on your performance horse or manage a breeding program for your cattle.
Our new hospital on W Bowen Blvd was built around that idea from the ground up, with separate small and large animal entrances and quiet exam rooms kept well away from the traffic of a working barn.

What We Do
Comprehensive care for every stage of life, on both sides of the practice.

Annual wellness exams, vaccines, parasite prevention, nutrition counseling, and diagnostic screening designed to catch problems long before they become emergencies.
Same-day sick visits with in-house bloodwork, digital radiology, and ultrasound so we can diagnose and begin treatment during the same appointment.
Soft tissue and orthopedic procedures in a dedicated surgical suite, with continuous anesthesia monitoring and multimodal pain management from admission through recovery.

Full dental cleanings under anesthesia with digital dental radiographs, extractions, and at-home care plans to keep teeth and gums healthy between visits.
Quality-of-life consultations, hospice support, and peaceful in-hospital or at-home euthanasia in a private comfort room, away from the waiting room.

Your First Visit
Request a time online or give us a call. We'll confirm, send intake forms ahead of time, and handle transferring records from your previous clinic.
New patient visits are scheduled long — in the clinic or at your farm. Your veterinarian will do a full exam and walk you through everything they find, without the jargon.
You'll leave with a written summary, an itemized estimate for anything recommended, and a direct way to reach us with follow-up questions.
Our People
The veterinarians who will know your animals by name — and remember them between visits.
Owner
Dr. Finney is an Arkansas native who grew up on a small farm in Garfield, Arkansas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he met his wife, Dr. Sarah Kim. After graduation, the couple returned to Northwest Arkansas to build their lives and careers.
Dr. Finney began his veterinary career at a mixed-animal practice in Missouri before returning to Northwest Arkansas and founding his own mobile mixed-animal practice, Ozark Livestock and Equine Veterinary Services, in 2021. His primary interests and passion are equine and bovine medicine, though he still enjoys the occasional new kitten or puppy exam.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Finney enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their two daughters. You can often find him in a tree stand or enjoying just about any outdoor adventure with his family.
Owner
Dr. Kim grew up in Southern California and earned her undergraduate degree from UC Santa Barbara before attending Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University, where she gained valuable clinical experience. It was during her time at Ross that she met her husband, Dr. Matt Finney. After graduation, they made their home in Northwest Arkansas, where Dr. Finney was born and raised.
Dr. Kim began her career in general practice while also working relief shifts at the Animal Emergency and Specialty Center of Northwest Arkansas. Through that experience, she developed a strong passion for emergency and critical care medicine and spent several years working in emergency practice. While she continues to have a deep interest in emergency and critical care, she is excited to return to general practice, where she can build long-term relationships with her clients and patients.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kim and Dr. Finney enjoy spending time with their two daughters. Their busy household also includes two dogs, three cats, and an ever-changing number of chickens. In her free time, Dr. Kim enjoys baking, gardening, and exploring Northwest Arkansas in search of the next great coffee spot.
